“In our worship of Him we should find unspeakable pleasure.”Tozer (American Pastor d1963)
We should take our worship so seriously, that we do not stop until we are finding unspeakable pleasure. We need to be passionate about who we are encountering! GOD calls us to excellence.
I feel that passion is so important in finding and encountering GOD because the road that we walk into His presence can be uphill and narrow. If we have no passion in seeking GOD, we will not find unspeakable pleasure - we may find 'some' joy, but not the joy of the Spirit.
Colossians 3:17: "Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way."
I'm always encouraged, and amazed, at how GOD constantly reminds us of the relationship between worship and our lives. All too easily, worship becomes the 'music bit' on a Sunday morning and less about what we do doing the week. I believe that if there is a conflict between our weekly-lives and our Sunday-lives, we will never be able to find unspeakable pleasure in either area.
Our Sunday worship needs to be an extension of what happens in our lives during the week and vice versa! That's when we will start to glimpse an authentic GOD-filled reality. When Jesus spoke of life in all it's fullness, I believe that this is what He was talking about - He is interested in simple, plain, honest worship. Living sacrifices is what Romans 12 calls this type life. Living each day, each moment as an offering to GOD - that's what it means.
Then, if we work at this, we will find unspeakable pleasure in our worship!
